The foaming agents PLANAGEN® have the funtion to raise the formation of a cellular structure in the rigid and flexible PVC products. Many are the forms to induce the formation of small bubbles in the product, among which as follows:
Incorporation of a chemical compound which decomposes in some stage of the PVC transformation process, forming gaseous compounds through chemical reactions at high temperatures. These chemical compounds are known as foaming chemical agents. (PLANAGEN®);
The chemical agent most used in PVC formulations, for rigid and flexible compounds as much as for plastisols, is the azodicarbonamide, also known by the abbreviation AZDC. The chemical struture corresponds to: N4C2O2H4.
